SERVICE AND HUMILITY: THE E.M.F CHRISTLIKE EXAMPLE

Jesus, as Teacher and Lord, preached that followers should not seek greatness but rather humble themselves to serve others.

When our Lord Jesus Christ washed the feet of his disciples, it was an act that symbolized spiritual cleansing.

And so, when Peter hesitated, Jesus told him, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me,” emphasizing the need for his cleansing work.

That act also laid an example for followers, as Jesus stated, “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.”

This amounts to action-oriented love, sacrificial love, and putting others above oneself.

This was exactly what His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F Oshoffa, Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide replicated at the 2026 washing of feet exercise of the Celestial Church of Christ on Saturday, 28th March, 2026, at the premises of the Celestial Church of Christ Theological Seminary, Klm 53 Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
