CCC IKEJA REGION, ALA EQUIP MINISTERS FOR EXPONENTIAL CHURCH GROWTH
Conference urges intentional discipleship, development of disciple-makers
LAGOS — Hundreds of ministers and church leaders gathered at CCC Omotola Cathedral, Ipaja, Lagos, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, as the Celestial Church of Christ (Ikeja Region), in partnership with Anchor Leadership Academy (ALA), hosted a major leadership conference focused on driving exponential church growth through intentional discipleship.
The Church-Based Ministers Conference 2026, held from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., challenged church leaders to move beyond conventional ministry approaches and deliberately equip believers to become effective disciple-makers.
The conference, organised as part of Anchor Leadership Academy’s 25th anniversary activities, brought together ministers and church workers for a day of leadership development, discipleship training and practical ministry engagement.
Participants received a range of educational and conference resources, including a free Expositor’s Giant Study Bible, two foreign hard-copy textbooks, 25 e-books, lunch, certificates and conference kit bags. The organisers put the total value of the materials at more than $450 per participant.
Registration was offered at a subsidised fee of ₦7,500, making the programme accessible to a broad range of church ministers and workers.
The central theme—“Exponential Church Growth by Intentional Discipleship and Equipping Believers to Become Disciple-Makers”—placed discipleship at the heart of sustainable church growth and leadership development.
The emphasis reflects Christ’s Great Commission: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…” — Matthew 28:19.
The organisers said the conference was designed to strengthen ministers with practical leadership and discipleship tools that can be applied within local congregations, while fostering a culture in which believers are equipped not only to follow Christ but also to help others follow Him.
