A PEEP INTO HOW WE CELEBRATED “GOOD FRIDAY” AT MAKOKO…See Some Exciting Pictures!

Jesus is beaten and nailed to a cross. To mock him, soldiers place a crown of thorns on his head and a sign above him that says, “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.” By the end of the day, darkness had covered the land, and Jesus had died.

Good Friday is a solemn day of mourning and reflection for Christians, who often attend special church services and prayer vigils. Good Friday is a part of Holy Week, which includes Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, and Good Friday, leading up to Easter Sunday.

In pictures, see how the day was celebrated at the cradle of the Celestial Church of Christ in Nigeria, C.C.C. National Headquarters, Archdiocese, Makoko, Lagos:
