C.C.C GRAYS PARISH, ESSEX, LONDON, TAKES CHRISTIAN SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY
Church feeds vulnerable residents, Essex Fire Service as Mayor and council recognise community initiative

GRAYS, ESSEX — The Celestial Church of Christ Grays Parish, at 52 Bridge Road, Grays, Essex, is putting its Christian values into action through a community feeding initiative providing free cooked meals to underprivileged residents and personnel of the Essex Fire Service.
The outreach, which began on Sunday last week, is expected to continue indefinitely, making it a sustained commitment to supporting people within the community where the church is located.
The initiative has already attracted recognition from local authorities. Mayor of the Borough, Councillor Qassir Abbas, visited the parish alongside another councillor to acknowledge the church’s efforts and engage with those behind the project.
The parish’s community work was also mentioned at a full meeting of Thurrock Council, further drawing attention to the church’s contribution to local community life.

Says the Shepherd in Charge of the parish, Venerable Superior Evangelist Gbolahan Oshin, the initiative is an expression of Christian compassion and a practical demonstration that its responsibility extends beyond worship to service to humanity.

By providing meals to people who may be experiencing hardship, while also recognising the work of Essex Fire Service personnel, the parish is strengthening its links with the wider community.

With the programme set to continue indefinitely, CCC Grays Parish is demonstrating that the impact of a church can extend well beyond its sanctuary — into the lives of the people and community around it.
For the Celestial Church of Christ, it is a simple expression of a Christian principle: faith is most powerful when translated into service.
