SHOW PROOF OF 5% CLERGY WELFARE DEDUCTIONS TO COLLECT YOUR POSTING AND TRANSFER LETTER – Clergy Welfare Committee Blows HOT!!!

His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F Oshoffa

This is to inform all Clergy due to collect their posting and transfer letters that it has become mandatory to present proof of payment of Clergy Welfare Deductions and proof of subscription to the Clergy Health Insurance Scheme, in order to collect their letters of posting and transfer.

Recall that a pastoral order dated 20th February, 2023, reference number CCC/WHQ/EMF/PO/PD-04/02-24, addressed to all State Evangelists, Administrative Divisional Evangelists, S.O.P’s and Shepherds, it was clearly stated that, “Every parish through its parochial committee must deduct 5% of monthly income before dividing the returns into three (3) as their contribution to the welfare of their Shepherd. This should be directly paid into the C.C.C. Clergy Welfare account number: 2243726927/ United Bank of Africa (UBA).

The pastoral order further explained that, “The 5% deduction mentioned above is to take care of the Shepherd in trial periods…All Heads are mandated to enforce the order.”

Kindly present proof of payment of the afore-stated deductions to the officials of the Clergy Welfare Committee that would be present as you come forward to collect your posting and transfer letters.

Failure to comply would attract sanctions at the point of collecting transfer letters.

Thank you.
