HOW E.M.F. PLANNED TO USE CHURCH DEDICATION TO RECONCILE WITH ALL AGGRIEVED PARTIES IN THE FOLD…Plus Images From The Ceremony!

The surprising appearance of Most Superior Evangelist J.D. Nunayon must have evoked different emotions amongst those present at the Altar Laying/Dedication of the magnificent Celestial Church of Christ, Ark of Salvation Cathedral, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

While some lips wagged in vile mischief expressing deliberate pessimism, other minds were lifted and overwhelmed with a perfect blend of joy and happiness at the welcome development.

What many do not know, however, is that weeks before the event, particularly at the point when invites were to be sent out, Reverend E.M.F. Oshoffa had suddenly summoned a few of his trusted aides and shared the pain in his heart and his throbbing thoughts with them.

The pain within revolved around the disagreement between him and some prominent members of the church, which led to an ongoing litigation.

His thoughts were centred on using the occasion of the opening of the church he had just completed at Abeokuta, the C.C.C. Ark of Salvation Cathedral, to bring together all aggrieved parties and reconcile with them.

His deep seated belief was that such reconciliation would foster the unity, peace, progress and growth of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.

To this end, His Eminence asked the C.C.C. Head of Media and Publicity, Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala, to get a pen and paper and take down the list of names he was about to reel out.

These names, he categorically instructed, must be contacted and invited to the new church’s Altar Laying and Dedication Ceremony. The names reeled out by His Eminence were Most Superior Evangelist S.O. Banjo (Doyen, C.C.C. W/w), Most Superior Evangelist J.D. Nunayon, Superior Evangelist John Rotimi Omotosho (Jorotom), Superior Evangelist Pius Olarewaju, Superior Evangelist Bola Akinterinwa, Superior Evangelist Kayode Okaisabor, Superior Evangelist M.O. Sodunke, AVSE J.O. Ogunremi and his wife, MC Ronke Ogunremi.

His Eminence also specified that C.C.C. leaders like VSE S.F. Daramola, Venerable Superior Evangelist Emmanuel Ayodele Ariyo and Venerable Superior Evangelist Ambrose Adeyemi Afolahan must also be invited to the occasion.

Pastoral instructions given, the ball was immediately set rolling. Contacts were made and invites despatched. The result was the presence of C.C.C. stalwarts like Most Superior Evangelist J.D. Nunayon, VSE Afis Kiki, AVSE Ogunremi and wife, Superior Evangelist M.O. Sodunke, Superior Evangelist A.V. Demuren, and Superior Evangelist Pius Olarewaju, who was represented by VSE Tampinu Noah (Shepherd in Charge, Omo Alade Alafia Parish 1, Lagos), at the Altar Laying/Dedication of the Celestial Church of Christ, Ark of Salvation Cathedral, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Saturday, 21st December, 2024.

One of the high points of the event occured when Most Superior Evangelist J.D. Nunayon left his seat and stepped into the inner altar to exchange greetings and pleasantries with His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa.

The thunderous applause that greeted this move was a clear indication that members of the fold are indeed yearning for true reconciliation and peace in the top hierachy of the church.

We pray that the Lord would perfect the unfolding scenario in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
