CELESTIAL CITY, IMEKO, WEARS A NEW LOOK…As The Dream To Build Our Own JERUSALEM Gathers Steam!

As the December 2024 Annual Convocation approaches, the Pastor in Council Works and Projects Committee has intensified efforts to ensure a dust free Imeko for the comfort of all C.C.C. faithfuls that attend this year’s Convocation.

Presently, all the roads leading to the Celestial Basilica in Imeko are being worked on. Drainages have been constructed on both sides, the roads have been graded and asphalt is being laid. Construction workers are working round the clock to meet set targets.

The dream to build Imeko City into our own Jerusalem is that of the Pastor/Founder of the Celestial Church of Christ, Saint S.B.J Oshoffa. The realisation of that dream would see the Celestial City, Imeko, Ogun State, parading modern infrastructural facilities like tarred roads, pipe borne water, constant electricity, schools, hospitals, guest houses, residential estates, et al.

The journey of a million miles, they say, begins with a first step. In the case of the Imeko City Development Project spearheaded by the Pastor-in-Council working Committee on Works and Projects, that first step has been taken. And we’re optimistic that all obstacles shall be overcome and this journey would make steady progress for the dream to be realised in good time.

The present developmental effort is being funded from contributions by members of the church at parish level all over the world.

Even as attention is being given to the roads, the International Conference Centre, Imeko, and the Celestial Basilica, Imeko, are also receiving deserved attention. As regards the imposing International Conference Centre Complex, repairs of the roof, plastering of the internal and external walls and the installation of aluminium windows have been completed. Even now, tiling, laying of electrical pipes and the digging of a borehole are being worked. Painting would then follow.

All thanks to members of the Pastor in Council, C.C.C. W/w, for raising a war chest from personal donations to ensure that the International Conference Centre, Imeko, is completed and commissioned.

Talking about the Celestial Basilica, Imeko, quality coat of paint is on the way, just as flooring of the overflow around the imposing structure is being contemplated.

Certainly, we still have a long way to go. Your contributions would go a long way in making this dream a reality.

Therefore, wherever a call for donations for the Imeko City Development Project is made, please do not hesitate to donate generously.

And as for this year’s Imeko Annual Convocation, it would certainly be one with a difference.
