The family of SVMSE Solomon A. Onaghinon wishes to announce the passing of our Patriach- Special Venerable Most Senior Evangelist Solomon A. Onaghinon, whose glorious exit occured on 30th August, 2024.

Until his exit, Daddy Onaghinon was the Patron of CCC Gate of Heaven Parish, Onosa, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos

Daddy Onaghinon participated actively in the growth of the Celestial Church of Christ and established a legacy for the coming generation. During his lifetime, he was the Treasurer of the Holy Land, Committee, Imeko – a role he handled effectively, contributing to the development of the Holy Land for the use of several Celestians Worldwide.

He also contributed to the establishment and strengthening of many parishes in the fold. Such parishes include C.C.C. Oriyanrin Parish, C.C.C. Afonifoji Ibukun Parish, C.C.C. Ojo 1 Cathedral, to mention a few. God subsequently used him to set up a parish in Onosa, Lagos. Daddy Onaghinon influenced and preached widely in many other parishes across the country as an Evangelist and focused on sound biblical and C.C.C. doctrines .
He built relationships with several members and Shepherds and helped many in ministry to establish their parishes. He continued to support budding Shepherds found their parishes until he completed his assignment on earth.

Daddy Onaghinon was a well known Trade Unionist especially during his active work life, and provided mentorship and advice to trade unionists until his transition.

A lawyer by profession, Daddy Onaghinon was the Secretary General of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) for 26 years before being called to work in God’s vineyard. The A.S.C.S.N. is the body that is responsible for the welfare of all senior civil servants in Nigeria.

In this role, Daddy Onaghinon was instrumental to major developmental activities of Unity Schools in Nigeria, as well as leading sound trade unionism by constantly fighting for better welfare of public servants, including ensuring establishment of the first minimum wage and its implementation, the re-organisation of the former umbrella body that became Trade Union Congress (TUC) ,etc. He was indeed instrumental to challenging various governments to accede to requests of Nigerian workers especially during the military era. He was bold, risking his life and comfort to ensure that Nigerian workers received their dues. He was a stickler for Governance and challenged many persons, organisations and administrations in the court of law, never losing a single case in his career through the help of, and specific instructions from the God of C.C.C.

He was an expert in labour law and became a reference point as far as labour law and trade uninionism was concerned.

We thank God for a life well lived and for sending his son, S. A. Onaghinon, to impact positively on all of us and across numerous sectors in Nigeria.

*A Tribute to Daddy Solomon Onaghinon*

With profound sadness, I bid farewell to a remarkable soul, Daddy Solomon Onaghinon, a shining light in the Celestial Church of Christ. Your passing leaves an unfillable void, but your legacy and impact will forever resonate in my heart and the lives of countless others.

As a young boy, I was blessed to sit under your teachings, drinking from the wellspring of your profound knowledge of God’s Word. Your unwavering dedication, passion, and love for the Lord inspired me to deepen my faith. Your lessons were more than mere sermons; they were life-changing encounters that shaped my spiritual journey.

I cherish memories of joining you and my late father, Baba Imolekan, on that memorable trip to Imeko, Celestial City, where I received my first and only anointment from the Late Pastor and Supreme Head, Pastor AA Bada. Your guidance and presence made that experience unforgettable.

Daddy Onaghinon, you embodied the essence of a good and faithful servant. Your commitment to family, church, and community was exemplary. Your love for your family was evident, and your devotion to your wife and children served as a model for us all.

Your legacy extends far beyond your teachings; it’s woven into the lives you touched, the hearts you healed, and the souls you nurtured. Your selflessness, kindness, and generosity inspired a generation of believers.

As you return to your heavenly home, I pray:

– Your family finds comfort in the memories and lessons you shared.
– Your spiritual children continue to grow in faith, guided by your teachings.
– Your legacy inspires future generations to walk in your footsteps.

Rest in peace, dear Daddy Onaghinon. Your impact will never fade.

*Sun re o, Daddy* (Rest in peace, Daddy)

Dear daddy Solomon, if I only had five minutes, the day you passed away, I’d have had time to tell you, all the things I needed to say. I never got to tell you, how much you meant to me, or that you were the best, that anyone could be.
Now that God has called you, it’s time to get your wings to leave this life behind you & enjoy all heavens beautiful things. So fly on my angel, the good Lord will be strength always.
