With profound sorrow, yet in total submission to the sovereign will of Almighty God, the Celestial Church of Christ, USA National Diocese, announces the sudden passing unto eternal glory of our beloved father, leader and servant of God, AMSE Olaitan Balogun, JP, MPIC, Head of Diocese, C.C.C USA National Diocese.

AMSE Olaitan Balogun peacefully slept in the Lord on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in Nigeria.

His passing is a profound loss to his immediate family, his parish, the C.C.C USA National Diocese, and the entire Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide. We mourn the departure of a devoted servant of God whose leadership, service and commitment to the Church will be forever remembered.

As we grieve, we take consolation in the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ:

“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” — John 11:25

We pray that Almighty God grants our departed father eternal rest and receives his soul into His everlasting peace.

May the Lord also strengthen and comfort his family, loved ones, parishioners, members of the USA National Diocese, and the entire Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, granting everyone the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, and may light perpetual shine upon him. Amen.
