E.M.F MOURNS, CANCELS ALL OFFICIAL ACTIVITIES TO HONOUR BALOGUN … Condoles With The Family

Late AMSE Olaitan Balogun

The Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F Oshoffa, has cancelled all official activities for three days, following the sudden and shocking demise of the Head of the USA National Diocese, late AMSE Olaitan Balogun, on Wednesday, 2nd September, 2026.

Reverend Pastor E.M.F Oshoffa, who arrived the USA to begin a pastoral working visit to Canada and USA, on Wednesday, 2nd September, 2026, has also directed all parishes of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide to observe ONE MINUTE SILENCE before the commencement of ANNOUNCEMENTS (Ifilo), during the glorious service of SUNDAY 6th SEPTEMBER, 2026, in honour of the departed soldier of Christ.

Deeply pained and devastated, by the death of the Head of the USA National Diocese of the fold, His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F Oshoffa lamented, “I am in total shock and deeply heartbroken by this terrible news. I really cannot believe the news I just heard. This feels so completely unreal. Nothing could have prepared anyone for such an unexpected and tragic loss.”

While speaking about the personality and contributions of the late Head of the USA National Diocese, AMSE Olaitan Balogun, to the progress of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, E.M.F had this to say, “with the unexpected passing of AMSE Olaitan Balogun, the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide has been robbed of a decent, honourable, and deeply respected man of God.

Late AMSE Olaitan Balogun’s life was a quiet sermon in service. He gave of himself from conviction rooted in faith, guided by principle, and sustained by a belief in the common good. In the Lord’s vineyard, he stood as a man of balance and conscience, bringing to every responsibility a steady hand and a moral compass that did not waver with the winds of convenience.

As Head of the USA National Diocese of our great church, Balogun carried a heavy and sensitive mandate with dignity, restraint, and fairness. And in the discharge of his duties, he exemplified calm leadership and moral seriousness.

Yet beyond titles, church rank, and offices, he was first and always a man of faith. A devout Christian, AMSE Olaitan Balogun lived the values he preached—humility, compassion, patience, and hope. His faith was not loud, but luminous; not performative, but practical. It shaped his dealings with people, his understanding of position and power, and his insistence that authority must always be tempered by mercy.

Adieu

Balogun was also a devoted family man, anchored by love, guided by responsibility, and sustained by the quiet strength that comes from a life lived with integrity at home as well as in public view.

On behalf of my family, the Board of Trustees C.C.C W/w, the Pastor in Council C.C.C W/w, and indeed the global membership of the Celestial Church of Christ, I extend heartfelt sympathy to his grieving family, his loved ones, his congregation, his colleagues, and the countless people whose lives he touched.

Their loss is immeasurable, and their grief is shared. For when a man like AMSE Olaitan Balogun is called home, it is not only a family that mourns, but the entire church, C.C.C Worldwide.

We mourn him as a church and we remain ever grateful for his service, inspired by his example, and humbled by the legacy he leaves behind. Though his voice is now stilled, the echo of his life will remain.

May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may light perpetual shine upon him.

Funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.

-His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F Oshoffa, Pastor and Spiritual Head, C.C.C Worldwide.
