APPROPRIATE GARMENTS FOR SPECIAL VENERABLE SUPERIOR EVANGELIST (Sp VSE) AND SPECIAL ASSISTANT VENERABLE SUPERIOR EVANGELIST (Sp AVSE) … Plus Why The Ranks Were Created

The new ranks of SPECIAL VENERABLE SUPERIOR EVANGELIST (Sp VSE) and SPECIAL ASSISTANT VENERABLE SUPERIOR EVANGELIST (Sp AVSE) have been created and approved by the Pastor and Spiritual Head, C.C.C Worldwide, His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F Oshoffa.

These new ranks were created in order to draw a distinct line and clearly distinguish between the CLERGY and NON CLERGY (LAITY) of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.

Going forward, only CLERGY, that have attained the rank of VENERABLE SUPERIOR EVANGELIST (VSE), and ASSISTANT VENERABLE SUPERIOR EVANGELIST (AVSE) must wear the LIGHT BLUE CASSOCK and LIGHT BLUE SURPLICE (Ileke). The NON-CLERGY (LAITY) must not wear this garment.

CLERGY (VSE and AVSE) can also wear the WHITE CASSOCK with the appropriate trimmings for the ranks they have attained.

With immediate effect, NON‐CLERGY (LAITY) must no longer wear the garments described above, as they are strictly for the CLERGY.

Also, NON- CLERGY (LAITY) of the rank of SPECIAL ASSISTANT VENERABLE SUPERIOR EVANGELIST (Sp AVSE) and SPECIAL VENERABLE SUPERIOR EVANGELIST (Sp VSE) must no longer wear the WHITE CASSOCK.

To further distinguish the NON-CLERGY (LAITY) cadre from the CLERGY, the NON-CLERGY cadre that have attained the ranks of SPECIAL ASSISTANT VENERABLE SUPERIOR EVANGELIST (Sp AVSE) are to wear the LEMON COLOUR CASSOCK and the LEMON COLOUR SURPLICE with a GREY CROSS-BAR, LEMON COLOUR LOINS with the 3 Cross Altar of Blue Colour.

Furthernore, SPECIAL VENERABLE SUPERIOR EVANGELIST (Sp VSE) ranks are to wear the SILVER COLOUR CASSOCK and SILVER COLOUR SURPLICE (Ileke) with LEMON COLOUR CROSS-BAR, and SILVER COLOUR LOINS with the 3 CROSS ALTAR OF BLUE COLOUR.

All Heads of Diocese, Regional, Zonal, Area, District Heads, Shepherds, are to ensure strict compliance to the foregoing.

The Clergy and Non-Clergy cadre of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide are to obey these dress codes as highlighted above to avoid embarrassment.
