BANJO AND Ors VS E.M.F: COURT NOT DELIVERING JUDGMENT ON 7th MAY, 2025

Contrary to the misinformation being peddled in some quarters, the Federal High Court in the Lagos Judicial Division, holden at Lagos State (Hon Justice Musa Kakaki), would NOT deliver judgement on Wednesday, 7th May, 2025, in the case of Banjo and Ors VS E.M.F, as being falsely peddled.
The matter came up for the first time before Hon Justice Musa Kakaki of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Wednesday, 12th February, 2025. This was as a result of the transfer of Justice Lifu to the Abuja judicial division. And on that day, no application or suit was heard for judgment. The matter came up for MENTION and NOT HEARING.
The court however had to adjourn the case to Wednesday, 7th May, 2025, to hear the application for change of counsel by the fourth defendant, Rev (Mr) Godwin Bolanle Shonekan, and also to hear the originating summons.
The court’s decision to adjourn the case to Wednesday, 7th May 2025, was informed by the absence of the counsel to the fourth defendant, Rev (Mr) Godwin Bolanle Shonekan, who was also not represented in court.
Counsel to the other defendants also made it known in court that they had not been duly served the fourth defendant’s application for a change of counsel.
Barrister Akinyele Sanyaolu, counsel to the 2nd defendant confirmed that he only received a copy of the fourth defendant’s application for a change of counsel via WhatsApp.
The court would therefore sit on the matter again on the adjourned date of Wednesday, 7th May, 2025, to hear the originating summons and the application for a change of counsel by the fourth defendant.
Judgment would not be delivered on that date!
See copy of the application for a change of counsel by the fourth defendant below:

I wish they all withdraw the cases from court and sit down like Christian brothers to settle the matter amicably. We miss Papa Oschoffa deadly
