WHAT THE NEWLY INAUGURATED SUPREME TRANSITIONAL COUNCIL IS EXPECTED TO ACHIEVE IN THE NEXT TWELVE MONTHS…Let the Baseless and Unfounded Rumours Stop!

On Saturday, 26th April, 2025, the Supreme Transitional Council, C.C.C Worldwide, saddled with the mediation mission to ensure the unity of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, was inaugurated at the Salle Rouge du Palais des Congres de Cotonou.

The Council, an initiative of His Excellency, President Patrice Talon of the Republic of Benin, also has a one year deadline to harmonise the liturgy and practices of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, as part of its assignment.

To this end, the members of the Supreme Transitional Council are expected to hit the ground running by holding regular meetings at the Secretariat of the Council, located at the CNSAD area, behind the Novotel Hotel, Cotonou, Republic of Benin.

The Council is also expected to create specific sub-committees and announce the membership of such sub-committees, in a move that is expected boost the operations of the Council and ensure the meeting of set targets and deadlines.

An earlier signed memorandum of understanding between all relevant stakeholders adopted the existing Celestial Church of Christ Constitution (The Blue Book), as the guiding document of the Council.

The Council’s Terms of Reference, to be achieved within one year, are set out below:

• Harmonisation of Bible Lessons to be used for all church services and events of C.C.C. W/w, viz Sunday Service, Mercy Service, New Moon Service, Christmas/New Year Service, Easter Service, Palm Sunday Service,Burial Service, etc

• Harmonisation of ranks in C.C.C. W/w.

• Harmonisation of garments and mode of dressing in C.C.C. W/w.

• Harmonisation of the rules and tenets of C.C.C W/w.

• Cohesion in the operations of the apex administration of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.
• The Higher Transitional Council has a one year period to deliver on these and other tasks that would ensure unity, peace and progress of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.

The inauguration ceremony brought together a cross section of personalities, including high ranking members of the government of the Republic of Benin, such as the Minister of State, Secretary General of the Presidency 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗞𝗢𝗨𝗣𝗔𝗞𝗜, the Government Spokesperson 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗕𝗘𝗗𝗝𝗜, 𝗬𝘃𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗘𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗨, Keeper of the Seals, Minister of Justice and Legislation, 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗘𝗜𝗗𝗢𝗨, Minister of the Interior and Public Security, and 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲  𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗠𝗕𝗢𝗟𝗔, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Arts, the Prefect of the Littoral Region 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗟𝗔, as well as several other officials, religious and civil authorities, and high-ranking ecclesiastical dignitaries from Africa and other continents, plus teeming C.C.C. faithfuls that came from far and near to witness the historic moment.

The Heavens appeared to put a divine seal on the ceremony, with the showers of rain perceived by the participants as a divine blessing, which came down at the end of the event.
