Meeting

Mission Accomplished at C.C.C 7th Year Parishes (UK)

The long awaited constitution amendment for CCC 7th Year Parish 1 and 2 in UK was successfully carried out and approved by the ordinary members of the Church at an Annual General Meeting which took place on Sunday 15th February 2026.

The newly amended constitution which is central to the administration and governance of both CCC 7th Year Parish 1 and 2 in UK has affirmed that the REVEREND of the organisation is Pastor Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa who shall remain for life.

His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F Oshoffa

In addition to the Pastor’s right to appoint the Shepherd in charge for both parishes, the amended constitution also empowered the REVEREND to dissolve the Executive Committee on the grounds of financial improprieties, administrative irregularities or unlawful activities and empowered the REVEREND the right to give final approval on any decision concerning the freehold properties of both parishes in UK.

At the AGM, the old non-functional trustees who had been opposing the amendment of the constitution were removed by overwhelming votes of the ordinary members of both parishes. A new executive committee (also known as parochial committee) and charity trustees were elected into office for a two year tenure.

The successful AGM was chaired by the incumbent shepherd in charge, VSE Sam Oshodi. Also in attendance were members of the management committee of CCC UK Diocese, including VSE Ayo Osho (Chairman), VSE David Agunbiade (Secretary), who was instrumental in the preparation and presentation of the amended constitution to its successful approval at the AGM, and VSE Segun Iyun.

Also present were VSE Gbolahan Oshin, Shepherd of CCC 7th Year Parish 2, who passionately asked for and was granted Consent for administrative independence and a new charity registration for his parish, and VSE Abegunde who supported VSE Ayo Osho in the process of election of the new Executive Committee and Trustees. The new Executive Committee Chairman is AVSE Reuben Osemewegie.

The successful AGM, and particularly the amended constitution and removal of the old trustees amounted to a mission accomplished, starting from 12th June 2023 when the UK Diocese under the then HOD, Most Sup Evang Amos Fatusin acted upon the Pastoral Order to appoint a new shepherd and parochial committee for CCC 7th Year Parish 1, with the appointment of VSE David Agunbiade as shepherd and his subsequent withdrawal in February 2025, followed by the appointment of VSE Taiwo John as shepherd in February 2025 and his withdrawal in December 2025, and the appointment of the present shepherd, VSE Sam Oshodi from January 2026 to date, and the establishment of the management committee by the Pastor, under the leadership of VSE Ayo Osho.

The management committee considers the current situation at the CCC 7th Year Parish 1 and 2 as a success story under its administration and would like to thank and congratulate the Pastor, His Eminence, Rev E.M.F Oshoffa for his clear vision and directives which had cultivated into a very positive outcomes for both CCC 7th Year parishes, UK Diocese and CCC Worldwide. Long live Pastor EMF Oshoffa.
