JOINT COMMUNIQUE ON THE MEETING OF PRESIDENT PATRICE TALON, WITH LEADERS OF C.C.C. IN NIGERIA, REPUBLIC OF BENIN AND COTE D’IVOIRE

On his initiative, the Head of State, His Excellency Mr. Patrice Guillaume Athanase TALON, received in audience the senior officials of the Church of Celestial Christianity in Benin, Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire, this Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Presidential Office.

The various delegations were respectively led by Reverend Pastor Emmanuel M. F. OSCHOFFA (Nigeria), Reverend Pastor Bennett A. ADEOGUN (Benin), and the Head of the Diocese of Côte d’Ivoire, the Venerable Supreme Evangelist Justin K. ACKAH (Côte d’Ivoire).

This audience focused on examining ways to address the current challenges facing the Church for its reunification and harmonious development throughout the world.

In his speech at the beginning of the session, after thanking all the delegations that responded to his invitation, the Head of State paid tribute to the memory of the Reverend Prophet Pastor Founder Samuel Biléou Joseph OSCHOFFA, a worthy son of Benin who received the divine revelation to found this Church of African origin, born on September 29, 1947 in Porto-Novo, Dahomey (now Benin) and which quickly spread to countries such as Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Togo, Ghana, etc. and extended to several continents: Europe (France, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, etc.), America (United States, Canada, Brazil, etc.) etc.

After expressing all his pride for this Church born in black Africa and spread throughout the world, the Head of State feels “heavenly” by setting out on a mission for its reorganization and global governance in order to restore the image of its headquarters and its pilgrimage for the spiritual and economic well-being of the entire population of his country Benin.

All the delegations have committed to putting themselves at his disposal and working towards the completion of this process of unification and revaluation of the Church of Celestial Christianity that he undertakes to lead in person.

The Church is eternal, but its leaders are mortal and transient, he said before requesting the establishment of a select committee of eight (8) members chaired by His Excellency Patrice TALON, President of the Republic of Benin for the development of a roadmap.

This committee is composed of:

Three (3) representatives of Benin (Jean Sènou KOKOYE, Marcellin ZANNOU and Gabriel SOUMAHO),

Three (3) representatives of Nigeria (André AMOUSSOU, Olatosho OSCHOFFA, and Rodrigue CHABI)

Two (2) representatives of Côte d’Ivoire (Justin Kouamé ACKAH, Hyacinthe SARASSORO).

The appointment is therefore made in a month for the start of the work of the said committee.

Together let us arm ourselves with prayers and intention for the realization of this very dear pious wish of the Head of State and desired by all.

May the God of the Reverend Prophet Pastor Founder Samuel Biléou Joseph OSCHOFFA, remain in control of the initiative of the Head of State for the restoration of the image of our Church from heaven.
