E.M.F. COMMISERATES WITH BENINOISE GENERAL BERTIN BADA ON WIFE’S DEATH

The Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, has commiserated with Beninoise General Bertin Bada on the death of his wife which occurred on Sunday, 7th December, 2025.

General Bertin Bada, who doubles as the military Chief of Staff to President Patrice Talon of Benin Republic and Chief of Beninoise Air Force lost his wife, Venerable Superior Mother Kougblenou Sourou Berthe, in the early hours of Sunday, when coupists in a failed coup attempt in the West African country attacked the residence of General Bertin Bada at Abomey-Calavi on the outskirts of Cotonou.

Recall that General Bertin Bada is the representative of President Patrice Talon in the Reconciliation Committee of the Celestial Church of Christ, which is the brainchild of the President of the Republic of Benin.

His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, who was visibly and profoundly shocked at her rather sad and tragic demise commiserated with General Bertin Bada in the following words, “I’m deeply saddened by the tragic, sudden and very painful demise of your devoted, loving and dutiful wife.

Your wife was an incredible woman who exemplified grace, strength, and unwavering love. Though she may no longer be with us physically, I want you to take solace in the fact that her spirit will continue to guide and inspire you.

Be assured that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Please be strengthened by the scripture in Matthew 5:4: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

Venerable Superior Mother Kougblenou Sourou Berthe was 61 years old. Funeral arrangements would be announced later.

May her precious soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
