C.C.C. PASTURE PARISH, GAMBIA, CELEBRATES “HARVEST OF GREAT COMMISSION”…Reel Out Notable Strides

At the approach of her 33rd Annual Adult Thanksgiving Celebration, the Shepherd in Charge of the Celestial Church of Christ, Pastures Parish, Gambia Headquarters, AVSE Nicholas Kukoyi, has opened up on the giant strides recorded by the parish in recent times.
In his words, “As we joyfully mark Founders’ Week and celebrate our 33rd Harvest, themed, “The Great Commission,” the Celestial Church of Christ, Pasture Parish, The Gambia Headquarters, has been abundantly blessed.
We are witnessing the tangible move of God’s grace in our midst, especially as we welcome new members into the fold.
After faithfully worshipping with us for over a year, these members have made the heartfelt decision to dedicate their lives to Christ and were recently baptized into the Celestial Church of Christ.

Their baptism marks a personal commitment to their faith and a powerful testament to the impact of the church’s spiritual guidance and nurturing environment.
This moment is especially significant as it aligns with our harvest theme, “The Great Commission.” Just as Christ instructed in Matthew 28:19, we continue to fulfil our mission to make disciples and bring souls to Him. The baptism of these new members is a beautiful reminder that our purpose in spreading the gospel is being fulfilled, and it encourages us to continue reaching out with love, grace, and the truth of the gospel.”
In addition, “The Celestial Church of Christ, Gambia District, has made remarkable spiritual and community engagement strides. In an exciting and historic moment, the C.C.C. Gambia District recently participated in an inter-Christian denominational football tournament for the very first time and emerged as the champions.
This victory marks a significant achievement for the church, both in terms of community involvement and as a platform for outreach.
This milestone aligns perfectly with the theme of our upcoming 33rd Harvest: “The Great Commission.” The victory has been viewed, not just as a sporting victory, but as a soul-winning exercise, exemplifying the church’s mission to reach out to the community and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The football tournament provided an excellent opportunity to connect with the people of Gambia, showing that the church is actively involved in both spiritual and social aspects of life.
During the celebration, the District Head of C.C.C. Gambia, AVSE Kukoyi, spoke on the significance of the victory.
Hear him, “This win is not just for the Celestial Church of Christ, but a joint victory for the entire Christian community far and wide.”
He emphasized that the tournament provided a platform to inform the wider Gambia community about the Celestial Church of Christ and its values. This moment of victory, he said, is a chance for the church to further its mission of winning souls for Christ, much in the spirit of Matthew 28:19, which urges us to go and make disciples of all nations.

As we kick-start the harvest week celebrations, we do so with the trophy in hand—a tangible symbol of both physical and spiritual victory. This achievement serves as a powerful reminder of the strength and unity within the Christian body and opens up more opportunities for the church to fulfill its role in, “The Great Commission.”
