C.C.C. METRO PARISH, WASHINGTON DC, WRITES E.M.F … Pledge Unflinching Allegiance, Obedience and Loyalty

Prominent members of the Celestial Church of Christ, Metropolitan Parish, USA National Headquarters, Washington DC, have come together to affirm their loyalty, obedience and allegiance to the Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa.

Their position was contained in a letter dated 20th May, 2025, which was addressed to the Pastor and Spiritual Head, C.C.C. Worldwide.

While dissociating themselves from an earlier letter written by some members of the parish, their stance was made clear in the following words:

“It is with a heart of sobriety and responsibility that we write concerning the decision of C.C.C. Washington Metropolitan Archdiocese declaring independence and autonomy as contained in the letter dated March 30 2025 to your Eminence.

We the undersigned and many more dissociate ourselves from the decision and affirm our loyalty, obedience, subordination and continued acknowledgment of your Eminence’s leadership and authority as Head of C.C.C. Worldwide.

We wish to assure your Eminence that the aforesaid decision does not reflect the minds of a majority of the congregation.

It is not out of bitterness that this letter is written but from hearts that desire clarity. It is a decision that has grieved our spirit and threatened the unity of our parish. It is rather unfortunate that acts of disloyalty, insubordination and spirit of rebellion have crept into the body where honour, unity and spiritual integrity ought to reign.

As much as our hearts condemn the decision, we take solace in Romans 13: 1-2 and Romans 12: 29. We strongly believe that the One who sees all and judges with righteousness, will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.

As our spiritual father, we have confidence in your leadership and submit to your authority. With the love of Christ and a clear conscience, we commit the matter into God’s hands.”
