AYONITEMI PARISH IN TEARS AS BELOVED MOTHER CELESTIAL IKUSIKA IBIJOKE DEBORAH ANSWERS HEAVENLY CALL
AYONITEMI PARISH, AWOLOPE STREET, OKE ODUNWO, ONDO TOWN, BEREAVED BY THE PASSING OF ITS BELOVED MOTHER CELESTIAL
The Celestial Church of Christ, Ayonitemi Parish, Ondo City, has been thrown into deep mourning following the passing into glory of its beloved Matron, Mother Celestial Ikusika Ibijoke Deborah, who answered the heavenly call on Monday, November 2, 2026.
Her departure marks the end of a remarkable earthly journey and leaves behind a painful void in the hearts of her family, loved ones, fellow worshippers and the entire Ayonitemi Parish congregation, where she was cherished as a mother, a source of encouragement and a symbol of Christian fellowship.
Mother Celestial Ikusika Ibijoke Deborah was more than a member of the congregation; she was a Church Matron whose presence, warmth and devotion formed part of the spiritual and communal fabric of the parish. Her passing is undoubtedly a painful loss to those who shared in her journey of faith and enjoyed the blessings of her love, counsel and companionship.
Although the news of her departure brings sorrow and tears, the Christian faith offers the comforting assurance that death is not the end for those who die in the Lord. Her transition is therefore received with grief, but also with the hope of eternal rest in the bosom of the Almighty God.

The Holy Bible declares in 2 Timothy 4:7-8:
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness…”
Similarly, Revelation 14:13 offers this reassuring promise:
“Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
As the parish and the Celestial family at large come to terms with this painful loss, our prayer is that the Almighty God will grant her departed soul peaceful repose in His eternal kingdom and comfort all those she has left behind.
To her family, friends and the entire Ayonitemi Parish congregation, may the Holy Spirit be your comforter and strength in this difficult hour. May the fond memories of her life, the love she shared and the faith she professed remain a source of consolation.
For though her earthly voice has fallen silent, the memories of her love and the testimony of her faith will continue to speak.
Sleep on, beloved Mother Celestial Ikusika Ibijoke Deborah. May the angels of the Lord receive you into eternal glory.
May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
“The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” — Job 1:21.
