80 YEARS OF GRACE, A HOMECOMING OF FAITH! JOLAPAMO REUNITES WITH CELESTIAL CHURCH OF CHRIST

Church benefactor, philanthropist and planter of Majemu Oluwa Cathedral to mark milestone birthday with emotional return to the fold on November 15

The Celestial Church of Christ is set to witness an emotionally significant homecoming on Sunday, November 15, 2026, as Chief Dr. Isaac Morakinyo Jolapamo, an erstwhile prominent member and benefactor of the Church, returns to the fold after several years away.

The much-anticipated return will coincide with the celebration of his 80th birthday at Celestial Church of Christ, Majemu Oluwa Cathedral, Lagos Area ‘A’ Headquarters, in what promises to be a memorable occasion for the celebrant, his family and the wider Celestial fold.

For many Celestians who witnessed his years of active participation in the Church, the announcement of Jolapamo’s return is more than a birthday celebration. It represents the homecoming of a familiar face, a former pillar of support and a man whose contributions to the growth and propagation of the Celestial Church of Christ remain part of the Church’s history.

A successful businessman, philanthropist and committed church benefactor, Jolapamo was widely recognised for his generousity and remarkable willingness to deploy his personal resources towards the advancement of the gospel. His contributions, both in cash and kind, helped support various initiatives aimed at strengthening the Church and expanding its influence.

As the planter of Celestial Church of Christ, Majemu Oluwa Cathedral, he occupies a special place in the history of the parish and among those who played significant roles in the development of the Church. His commitment went beyond financial assistance; it reflected a deep personal investment in the spiritual growth, institutional development and public image of the Celestial Church of Christ.

It was therefore a source of considerable surprise and bewilderment to many members of the fold when he eventually left the Church several years ago. His absence was particularly felt by those who had witnessed his immense contributions and identified him with the growth and advancement of the denomination.

Now, in a development that has understandably generated excitement and anticipation, the octogenarian is set to retrace his steps and reconnect with the Church on a day that also marks eight decades of his earthly journey.

His return is expected to evoke powerful emotions among senior clergy, church leaders, old associates and members who remember his active years and the considerable sacrifices he made for the fold. For many, it will be an opportunity to renew old bonds, rekindle cherished memories and celebrate the restoration of a relationship with the spiritual family he once helped nurture.

Beyond the personal significance of his homecoming, the occasion is also expected to carry an important message for his children and succeeding generations. It presents an opportunity for them to reconnect with the Celestial Church of Christ, embrace the faith and continue the legacy of Christian service, generousity and commitment to humanity associated with their father.

At 80, Jolapamo’s return offers a powerful reminder that the journey of faith can accommodate renewed beginnings and that the doors of fellowship remain open to those who desire to reconnect with their spiritual roots.

As the Church prepares to receive him, the occasion promises to be more than a gathering to celebrate longevity. It will be a celebration of grace, reconciliation, gratitude and renewed fellowship.

For a man who once gave so much to the growth of the Celestial Church of Christ, November 15 promises to be a truly special day: a birthday celebration, a homecoming and the beginning of a new chapter in his relationship with the fold.

Indeed, at 80, what better birthday testimony could there be than a return to the spiritual family with which one once shared so much?
