C.C.C IJAIYE ARCHDIOCESE, ABEOKUTA, MOURNS AS ELDER, Sp AVSE OLUYEMI KUYE DIES AT 85

The Celestial Church of Christ, Archdiocese, Ijaiye, Abeokuta, Ogun State, is mourning the death of one of its respected elders, Sp. Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Oluyemi Kuye, who passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the age of 85.

Kuye, a member of the Council of Elders of the Celestial Church of Christ, Archdiocese, Ijaiye, was a respected figure within the Church whose years of service were marked by commitment to the faith and participation in the affairs of the Christian community.

His death represents a significant loss to the Ijaiye Archdiocese and to the wider Celestial Church of Christ community, particularly those who had the opportunity to work with him, seek his counsel or benefit from his experience as an elder.

At 85, Kuye belonged to a generation of church elders whose lives were shaped by a long association with the Church and its traditions. His position on the Council of Elders placed him among those entrusted with the responsibility of providing guidance and contributing to the administration and spiritual development of the Archdiocese.

His passing has therefore brought a period of mourning to the Church, coming as the departure of a senior member whose presence formed part of the institutional and spiritual life of the Ijaiye Archdiocese.
