C.C.C Calvary Parish II Marks 40th Adult Harvest, Hosts Community Development Projects

The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Calvary Parish II, Akute, Ogun State, has invited members of the Celestial family and the general public to its 40th Adult Harvest celebration scheduled for Sunday, August 30, 2026.

The celebration, themed “Harvest of New Glory”, is anchored on Haggai 2:9, which declares: “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former.”

According to the Shepherd-in-Charge of the parish, A/M/S/E Emmanuel Ekundayo, who also serves as the Provincial Head for parishes in Akute, Denro, Ajuwon, Alagbole, Ishasi and environs under the AKAID Marvelous Province, the harvest marks the beginning of a series of activities planned to commemorate the church’s 40 years of existence.

Fondly called Baba Ekundayo, the Shepherd-in-Charge said the 40th Adult Harvest offers the church an opportunity to appreciate God for His faithfulness while giving back to the community that has hosted the parish for four decades.

“The occasion of our 40th harvest provides a genuine opportunity to be grateful to God for the journey so far. So, we want to give back to our host community. This harvest is the first in the series of the 10-month-long programmes and projects that we have outlined to add value to the lives of people in our community,” he said.

He explained that the Parochial Committee, headed by Honorary Senior Evangelist Francis Osinoiki, had designed a number of community-focused initiatives as part of the anniversary activities.

“The Parochial Committee, headed by Honorary Senior Evangelist Francis Osinoiki, has thought it wise to commemorate our impactful existence by giving back to the community that has hosted the Church for 40 years through projects like streetlights, road reconstruction and women empowerment, among others,” Baba Ekundayo said.

According to him, the projects and other anniversary programmes will be implemented between August 2026 and May 17, 2027, when the parish will commemorate its 40th Founder’s Day Anniversary.

The anniversary activities commenced on Monday, August 24, with a vigil for AKAID Sidesmen and Sideswomen, followed on Tuesday by a vigil for AKAID Prophets and Prophetesses.

The church also hosted members of the public to a free medical outreach, offering general medical consultations, optical and dental examinations, as well as free medications and other medical commodities to beneficiaries who required them.

On Wednesday, Prophet Dr. Kunle Hamilton, a Bible scholar and Visioner of Shadaiville Ministry International, Lagos, ministered at a revival programme where he encouraged participants to embrace the Word of God and live godly lives in accordance with Christian principles and Celestial doctrines.

He urged the congregation to remain committed to God’s Word as a pathway to experiencing the promised New Glory.

The 40th Adult Harvest celebration is expected to bring together members of the church, residents of the host community, invited guests and other members of the public.

“We invite the general public to come and felicitate with us and share in our joy as we enter the season of our New Glory,” Baba Ekundayo added.
