INSECURITY: E.M.F CALLS FOR SOBRIETY, SOLEMNITY, AND PRAYERS DURING 2026 JUVENILE HARVEST CELEBRATION

As the nation continues to reel from the shock of the abduction of seven teachers and thirty-nine school children by terrorists from the Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle, and Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School in Oriire Local Council, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, the Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ, His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F Oshoffa, has called for absolute solemnity in the celebration of the forthcoming Juvenile Harvest of the fold.

The Juvenile Harvest Anniversary Thanksgiving of the Celestial Church of Christ is celebrated globally, with pomp and pageantry, in all parishes of the fold on the first Sunday in the month of June annually.

This year, however, the Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, His Eminence, Reverend E.M.F Oshoffa, has directed all parishes of the fold to tone down the celebration of the Juvenile Harvest Anniversary Thanksgiving Celebration, and focus on prayers for the release of the abducted teachers and school children.

“This year’s Juvenile Harvest Thanksgiving Anniversary Celebration must be observed in absolute solemnity and sobriety, with emphasis on prayers directed at the release of the abducted teachers and school children,” directs E.M.F.

The Pastor and Spiritual Head of the world’s largest white garment church, Reverend E.M.F Oshoffa, also condemned the abduction in very strong terms describing the unfortunate incident as barbaric, tragic, and sorrowful.

E.M.F lamented the plight of the abducted school children, including a two year old, as they must have been exposed to severely harsh conditions in captivity. He called on the government, at all levels, to rise up to the situation, and do everything possible to curb the rising wave of insecurity in the country.

Finally, Reverend E.M.F Oshoffa commiserated with the families that lost their loved ones in the attack and prayed for the safe return of the victims of the abduction.
