Harvest Thanksgiving

In Grand Style: CCC Ikeja 1 Cathedral Celebrates Its 51st Annual Adult Harvest of Divine Provision

The 51st Annual Adult Harvest Celebration of Celestial Church of Christ, Ikeja 1 Cathedral, held at 25 Unity Road, Off Toyin Street, Ikeja, Lagos, was nothing short of glorious. It was a week-long festival of faith, gratitude, and divine abundance that culminated in a grand Thanksgiving service on Sunday, 26th October 2025.

With dignitaries like the representative of the Spiritual Head of the Church Worldwide, alongside respected shepherds, world leaders, and distinguished guests, the celebration radiated reverence, unity, and joy. From the atmosphere to the spirit of worship, it was evident that this year’s theme , “Harvest of Divine Provision” was more than just a title; it was a testimony that unfolded before everyone’s eyes.

The week opened with the Sidemen and Sidewomen Vigil (Usher’s Night) on Monday, setting the tone for a season of renewal and gratitude. On Tuesday, the cathedral went beyond its walls as Prophets and Prophetesses rendered spiritual services to members, while the Harvest Committee embarked on an outreach to Ikoyi Prison. In attendance were seasoned lawyers who volunteered to take up pro bono cases for wrongly accused inmates, a truly touching expression of faith in action and divine compassion.

By Wednesday, the tempo had risen. The church grounds came alive with a one-day mega revival, championed by Ven/Sup/Evang S.O. Oladosu and Asst/Sup/Evang Segun Glorious. Hearts were stirred, spirits were lifted, and the entire congregation felt a tangible move of God.

Then came Friday, the Provision Night of Praise, an evening that remains unforgettable in the history of the cathedral’s harvest celebrations. The night was electrifying, with celebrated gospel artists like Moses Harmony, Abbey Awesome, Kent Edunjobi, HOD Sholafunmi, Sanmi Michael, Ore’D Voice, Tope Melody, and Philip Omotayo taking the congregation on a musical journey of gratitude and divine encounters. The music, the worship, and the atmosphere of joy made it an experience that will be talked about for years to come.

Saturday, October 25th, was marked by a free medical outreach, as members and visitors received health checks and consultations, a thoughtful way to blend faith and wellness in one divine expression of care.

And then came Sunday, October 26th, the grand finale. The church glowed with color, praise, and excitement as members, families, and guests filled the cathedral for the Harvest of Divine Provision Thanksgiving Service. The celebration carried a deep sense of fulfillment, especially as it marked the first harvest presided over by the newly transferred Shepherd-in-Charge, Ven/Sup/Evang Taiwo Oshin.

The day also coincided with his birthday, adding an extra layer of joy to an already beautiful occasion. Many described it as a “double portion of grace.” Known for his intentional leadership and impeccable time management, Ven/Sup/Evang Oshin ensured that the day’s activities flowed seamlessly. Every part of the program transitioned in perfect order, leaving enough time for members to dine, entertain guests, and celebrate without missing any important moment. It was a harvest done in excellence and fulfillment, a reflection of the shepherd’s touch.

Interestingly, the spiritual groundwork for this success had been laid weeks earlier. The Harvest Committee had organized three consecutive revival Sundays leading up to the harvest week. The first revival was presided over by Sup/Snr Wolider Olatunde Vicky Obaloluwa, the second by Asst/Ven/Sup/Evang Adebukola Anjorin, and the third by Ven/Sup/Evang Luke Olagoke Omoaladeogo. Each revival ignited a deeper spiritual hunger that culminated beautifully in the harvest celebration.

From heartfelt prayers to joyous praise, from selfless service to moments of thanksgiving, this year’s Harvest of Divine Provision stood out as a testimony of grace and unity within CCC Ikeja 1 Cathedral. It was not just another annual event, it was a reminder that when God provides, He does so abundantly, and when His people celebrate, heaven surely rejoices with them.

As the curtains drew on this year’s celebration, the Harvest Committee extended heartfelt gratitude to every member, guest, and supporter whose contributions made the 51st Adult Harvest a success. Their commitment, prayers, and sacrifices created an atmosphere of love and excellence that reflected the true essence of divine provision.
