C.C.C. REPRESENTATIVES, NANS AND LASU STUDENT LEADERS HOLD MEETING WITH LAGOS CP, JIMOH MOSHOOD, OVER MURDERED LASU STUDENT

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Jimoh Moshood, on Tuesday held a joint meeting with the representatives of the Celestial Church of Christ, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and student leaders of the Lagos State University (LASU).
The meeting which was convened by the Police Chief to brief all parties on the progress of ongoing investigation into the murder of Quadri Adedamola Ogunbode, a LASU graduate, was held in the office of the Lagos State Police Commissioner.
Representing the Celestial Church of Christ at the meeting were Venerable Superior Evangelist Victor Nosa Ojo (Chairman, Task Force Corps, C.C.C. W/w), Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala (Head, Media and Publicity, C.C.C. W/w) and two members of the Pastor in Council, Superior Evangelist Olayinka Idowu and Superior Evangelist David Sikpa.
The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) led the delegation representing the students of LASU, including the President, the Treasurer, the Legal Adviser, et al, of the LASU Students Union.

Speaking on behalf of the Celestial Church of Christ delegation, Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala (Head, Media and Publicity, C.C.C. Worldwide) commended the Police for their dilligence and assured that the Church would work closely with the Police to ensure that justice is served. He made it clear that the Church would not obstruct the quest for justice in this matter and sympathised with the family of the deceased, while expressing optimism that the embattled Shepherd of the church, presently in Police custody, would be given a clean bill of health at the end of the ongoing investigation.
Student leaders at the meeting expressed their satisfaction with the conduct of the investigation by the Police. They assured that the quest for justice was not to bring down the Celestial Church of Christ but to ensure that such a dastardly act does not repeat itself. They pleaded with the Police to ensure that such an act does not recur as there are still many students living in the neighbourhood of the crime scene.
In his address, the Lagos State Commisioner of Police, CP Jimoh Moshood, assured that the investigation would be thorough and would be pursued to a logical conclusion to ensure that justice is served.
The CP informed that the suspects in Police custody had been transferred to the Ikoyi Prisons, as the extension granted the Police to keep them in custody had lapsed. He assured that the remaining two suspects, still at large, would be apprehended and brought to book.

CP Moshood Jimoh also commended the Celestial Church of Christ for not calling out the Police and for not attempting to stand in the way of ongoing investigation. Finally, the Lagos State Commisioner of Police stated that investigations would continue and another briefing of similar nature would hold a month from now.
Also present were the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, and the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, amongst others.
